The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Acclaimed children's author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
An official for the firm commented: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was reached following an investigation into allegations of questionable actions towards women.
The company declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding in excess of 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
A number of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
He has published more than 40 books combined, which features a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.
From Screen to Page
His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
