A female accused with harassing Kate McCann reportedly recorded her a voicemail message which asked: "what if I am Madeleine?"

Julia Wandelt, twenty-four, who witnesses stated has persistently claimed she was the disappeared Madeleine McCann, and Karen Spragg are facing charges charged with stalking Kate and Gerry McCann between June 2022 and February this year.

On Monday, Leicester Crown Court heard communication data and data retrieved from phones documented Ms Wandelt consistently demanding Madeleine's mother for a DNA test throughout that period.

The panel was informed that through emails, mobile messages and calls, Ms Wandelt demanded a biological test, forwarded youth pictures to her phone in a attempt to display a likeness to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and stated to have "memories" from a youth with the McCanns.

Robert Jones, an investigator with law enforcement who gathered the data, informed the court there "didn't appear to be any answers" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore reached out to close associates of the McCanns, according to the communication logs.

On October 9th, 2024, Gerry McCann responded to a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, stating she had "the wrong phone."

That day Ms Wandelt deposited a message on Mrs McCann's answerphone saying "I won't give up and I plan to establish my claim."

The court was informed Mrs Spragg struck up a relationship through digital means with Ms Wandelt before assisting her on a visit to the McCanns' residence in Leicestershire in last December.

Communication data demonstrated Mrs Spragg had communicated using communication app to Mrs McCann to state the media had portrayed Ms Wandelt as "a crazy person" but that she deserved to be considered genuine in the time preceding the appearance to Rothley, Leicestershire, in last December.
